About the Owner
Moonlight Vet Center is proudly independently owned by Dr. Laura Halsey, an experienced veterinarian dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats in the Encinitas community.
A San Diego native, Dr. Halsey earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and completed advanced training in emergency and specialty medicine. Her background in urgent care, surgery, and internal medicine supports the hospital’s comprehensive approach to both wellness and urgent care services.
Dr. Halsey is an active member of the leadership board of the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association, reflecting her ongoing commitment to advancing veterinary standards locally. As an independently owned hospital, Moonlight Vet Center reflects her focus on clinical excellence, integrity, and treating every pet and family with compassion and respect.
