Community Friends
At Moonlight Veterinary Center, we’re thrilled to be part of our vibrant community in Encinitas! We’re deeply committed to supporting our local businesses and believe that this dedication to our neighbors is what truly sets us apart. We’re not just a veterinary hospital; we live, work, and play right here alongside you. We invite you to check out our “Community Friends”—a collection of businesses we admire and support. Join us in supporting these wonderful local spots and helping to keep North County a special place for all our pets and families!
Rancho Coastal Humane Society
Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS), founded in 1960, has been a trusted community fixture, offering compassionate pet adoptions, educational programs, and support services for people and animals in need. From their Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) initiative to community-based programs like the Animal Safehouse, Pet-Assisted Therapy, and the Community Pet Food Bank, RCHS fosters a meaningful human-animal bond. Still located in its original Encinitas location, RCHS continues to provide a “helping paw” to people and pets in crisis, keeping compassion at the heart of their mission.
Thrive Animal Rescue
Thrive Animal Rescue, founded by animal advocates Cece Durante Bloum and Georgia Spogli, is a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned dogs. Cece, a lifelong animal lover, began matching shelter dogs with adopters who preferred guidance in finding the right companion, realizing that many dogs are relinquished through no fault of their own. Georgia, also passionate about rescue, joined Cece, and in 2014, Thrive was born. Their shared mission now brings together volunteers and adopters, rescuing dogs and transforming lives. We’re thrilled to call them our friends!
PUPLID
At PUPLID, innovation meets canine comfort! Born from the unique combo of an engineer dad and a veterinarian mom, PUPLID was created to protect beach-loving dogs with sun-sensitive eyes. Their custom-designed dog trucker hats offer stylish sun protection and have quickly become one of our favorite North County products. We’re thrilled to call PUPLID our friends and proud to support their journey of helping pets enjoy sunny days safely!
Noble Tones sounds therapy
Sound therapy is a holistic approach that uses carefully crafted sound frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation and healing. Noble Tones offers sound therapy sessions tailored specifically for pets, helping address common issues such as stress, anxiety, and pain management. These sessions can be conducted in the comfort of your home or at Moonlight Veterinary Center.
Pet Power Studio
Pet Power Studio is a one-of-a-kind resource for local pet parents. Far from a typical retail shop, they offer a curated selection of high-quality, often locally made products and focus on community connections. Whether you’re stopping by on a beach walk for a free puppachino or need recommendations for dog-friendly dining spots, they’re here to help. With a network of trusted trainers, veterinarians, and holistic care providers, Pet Power Studio is a groovy, go-to spot for pet lovers looking to connect and explore local pet resources.
Kiwi’s Distinguished Pet Goods
Though Kiwi Pet Boutique doesn’t have a local storefront, its owner and team are regulars in the Encinitas area, attending Sip and Shop events and local farmers markets. Known for supporting nearby businesses and animal nonprofits, Kiwi Pet Boutique is a beloved friend of ours, and we’re grateful for their dedication to North County pets and animals in need.
The Crack Shack
The Crack Shack leads the way in the chicken craze with its carefully crafted menu, featuring high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere that elevates the dining experience. While their chicken dishes are a must-try for any poultry lover, what we cherish most about our neighbors across the street is their dedication to philanthropy. They actively fundraise for over 330 organizations, showcasing their commitment to giving back to the community—how awesome is that?
Goodonya
As an Olympic athlete, I spent years relying on artificial sports drinks loaded with processed ingredients, which took a toll on my health. After retiring, I became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and realized the key to hydration is simple: turn to nature. This inspired me to create HYDRATE—a mineral-rich drink made with organic, whole-food ingredients. Since introducing it, our customers have reported feeling revitalized, and I truly believe this is the best way to invest in your health!
Kateboards
At Kateboards, they’re all about supporting every step of your skateboarding journey, helping you move past any obstacles to feel safe, welcome, and excited about skating. They offer high-quality boards crafted with leading manufacturers, designed with unique graphics from women artists. Beyond boards, Kateboards fosters community with private lessons and meet-ups for skaters of all ages and skill levels in Encinitas. For them, skateboarding is a way to build connection, confidence, and joy—where self-expression and camaraderie inspire a bold, active life.
Soul of Yoga
Soul of Yoga is a thriving community where students and teachers come together to explore the rich dimensions of yoga and preserve its sacred wisdom. Through classes and training programs, Soul of Yoga empowers practitioners to deepen their understanding, enabling them to share these teachings with their communities. By fostering a network of dedicated yogis who care deeply about others, Soul of Yoga uplifts and connects, working to raise collective consciousness and support one another on the timeless journey of yoga. We’re proud to call them friends!
The Heritage Ranch
The San Dieguito Heritage Museum, established in 1988, celebrates the vibrant history of the San Dieguito River region, covering communities like Encinitas, Leucadia, Olivenhain, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Rancho Santa Fe. Located at the charming Heritage Ranch in Encinitas, this museum offers a unique, immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore the area’s rich cultural legacy in a rustic, authentic setting. We’re thrilled to partner with this incredible local museum that shares such meaningful stories about our shared past!
Olivenhain Farms
Olivenhain Farms, founded by Natalie, is a unique educational nonprofit that began as a small community space during the 2020s. Initially, it served as a sanctuary for families and children to connect with nature, animals, and each other during challenging times. After relocating to the San Dieguito Heritage Museum’s Heritage Ranch in 2023, Olivenhain Farms now offers an interactive homesteading exhibit, bringing Encinitas’s rich agricultural history to life. They’re passionate about connecting the community with hands-on learning in a vibrant farm setting—and we’re honored to call them friends!
The Regal Seagull
If you’re looking for a relaxed, local hangout in Encinitas, you might just spot some of our team unwinding at Regal Seagull! Known for its simple, authentic vibe, this spot is perfect for grabbing a quality beer with down-to-earth locals—and yes, it’s dog-friendly! Founded by Matt and Tim with the mission to bring people together over “quality grub and grog,” Regal Seagull is full of character, games, and plenty of charm. Come grab a drink, maybe a new nickname, and make yourself at home! Cheers!
